Retirehub.com is a new web service company that provides retirement planning and investment advice to the mass affluent market via on-line SAAS. Our core application is in private beta at www.retirehub.com. We have a robust sales pipeline and an experienced, team comprised of senior members of the financial services and investment community. We are addressing an excellent opportunity to create a high-volume site with substantial value at exit. This Co-founder and Senior Software Engineer will have a chance to share in its significant upside.
We are a small, fast paced team. The selected person will be responsible for owning the technology side of our business. This includes developing and supporting the various layers of our software platform. In addition, the candidate will have demonstrated experience with software engineering best practices and Web 2.0 technologies. We are in search of a candidate who can guide our technology strategy, as well as provide a significant amount of hands-on coding work.
Own, Design, modify, develop, and deliver software.
Review, analyze, and modify software including encoding, testing, and debugging.
Lead RetireHub’s continued transition into a consumer-facing, digital media and social networking application.
Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis.
Be the main engineering lead internally and externally when needed.
3+ years of experience in architecting/developing user interfaces using Microsoft technologies including C#, C++, ASP, ASP.Net and/or Java
Experience with Web based n-tier development (presentation and business logic layers) methodologies using ASP.NET , Web services and .Net Remoting
Experience with Web 2.0 technologies including social networking, wikis, blogs, mash-ups, etc.
Services Oriented Architecture environment using .Net
Familiarity with system life-cycle methodologies.
Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Disciplined, detailed, structured and organized in approaching work.
Able to multi-task.
Intense, focused and adept in a high-energy environment.
Self Motivated, Team player requiring minimal supervision

Database development using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 + (Stored Procedures, Triggers, DB Design)
BS in Computer Science required, graduate degree preferred.
