Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities listed below are representative of daily tasks. However, we are a startup and need someone flexible enough to accomplish business objectives and challenges as they arise. The Software Engineer will be responsible for:
Contributing best-in-class programming skills to the development of highly innovative, consumer facing mobile products
Designing, implementing, and maintaining server side application and infrastructure code
Conducting design and code reviews
Pragmatically solving problems quickly and efficiently
Working closely with, and incorporating feedback from, product management, interaction designers, and other teams
Proactively looking for ways to make AisleBuyer better
Experience
At least three years of software development experience
Skills
Strong software architecture and design sensibility with emphasis on clarity and usability
Superior command over Java and MySQL
Experience with Objective-C, Groovy, Grails preferable
Experience building large scale Mobile consumer services
Web design experience including a deep understanding of HTML, Javascript, CSS, the DOM, SOAP, XML, REST, Services and cross-browser compatibility and standards
Experience with Subversion
Comfort with agile techniques (user stories, TDD, pair programming)
Database performance expertise
Disciplined approach to development, testing, and quality assurance
Understanding of "Web 2.0" principles
Interest in mobile applications, data mining/analysis, retail, and/or technology
Ability to operate in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial start-up environment
Ability to work hard and have a lot of fun at the same time
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Team-first mentality
Ability to be flexible and work independently
Education
Bachelors degree in CS or related subject
