If so, Liquor.com needs you. We are currently a digital editorial brand dedicated to cocktails and spirits. As the expert source in the space, Liquor.com's platform currently features award-winning writing, photography, and videos that attract a sizeable audience of cocktail and spirits enthusiasts. Our fast paced culture embraces work and fun. And yes, we have regular happy hours to better to sample both new and classic products.

As one of our back-end Software Engineers, you will work on-site as a permanent member of our talented engineering team. You will implement new Web site features and help build out our new data-centric platform. You will work from our San Francisco office, with our team, implementing back-end components of the Web site using WordPress, CakePHP and MongoDB. You should be comfortable working with both object oriented and procedural programming paradigms.
Skills
Minimum 2 years of recent professional experience programming Web applications in PHP on a Linux / Unix platform
Minimum 4 years of software development experience with a demonstrated ability to quickly acquire new skills
Proficiency in HTML / CSS and JavaScript
Solid SQL knowledge and experience with both MySQL and interest or experience working with MongoDB
Strong verbal and written communications skills. A demonstrated track record of documenting designs, code, and finished products. Ability to communicate technical requirements to a non-technical audience
Experience working on an engineering team utilizing project tracking tools (e.g. Jira, Basecamp) and version control software from the command line (Git)
2 years of recent experience working with a Unix command line on a daily basis
Willingness to work on-site in a collaborative environment
