Software Engineer

Madison Logic, a rapidly growing startup and industry leader in lead generation and data services wants you!We’re a Microsoft .NET shop but also use cutting edge technologies like noSQL databases and Ruby on Rails. At 60 people we’re at a great size… you can learn from an experienced team of engineers but will have large growth opportunities as the company continues to expand the next few years. We live and breathe scrum, so be comfortable with an agile environment.
Develop highly-available & scalable web-based applications
Consider and research emerging technologies to improve current applications, architectures and processes, specifically mobile and social technologies/applications
Actively participate in the agile process (Scrum) and code reviews
Own or lead small/midsize projects (requirements, design, work planning, risk analysis, etc.)
Help with all system architecture and planning
Kick ass and chew gum (gum chewing optional)
2+ years of development experience
Good understanding of web applications, scalability, performance and reliability aspects
Proficiency with web services and RESTful API’s
Experience with SQL (ideally MySQL)
Experience with IIS or other web servers
Desire to work in an agile development culture
Experience with design, coding and testing patterns
Outstanding communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
Additional pluses....
...Knowledge of C ++ or C#
...Knowledge of RoR or python
...Proficiency with Javascript, Jquery, Ajax
...Work history or knowledge of the online advertising industry
...Experience with noSQL (ideally Mongo)
...Experience with windows and linux OS
