Overview
Pipio is a web software start up in it's pre-launch stage. We're looking for a experienced software engineer to join the team who is excited to work in a start up environment. The candidate should have 1-2 years of professional working experience building backend software for a highly scalable website with large volumes of traffic and rapid growth. The candidate should be self-sufficient and able to learn new technologies as needed. They will be responsible for working very closely with other team members to implement key components of the site.
Working at Pipio will have all the benefits of a larger company such as full health and dental, but the candidates will also have equity in the company. The work environment is very relaxed and hours are flexible, but we do work very hard and we're looking for a candidate who is willing to work hard to be a part of launching something with excellent potential. The candidate will become a part of the core engineering team at Pipio.
Candidates should also be willing to work in downtown San Francisco as we are planning to move our office there in the fall.

Responsibilities
Develop an Android app version of the Pipio platform.
Experience
previous experience developing a fast and easy to use Android application that takes full advantage of the api.
Experience with using location, video, camera apis.
Startup experience is a plus.
Experience with other mobile platforms (iPhone, Palm, Blackberry,etc) is high desirable
Skills
Experience building apps on the Android platform
Experience building web services (PHP/Python)
Experience with UI and UX design
Education
BS in Computer Science or related field
