Overview
Do you love to work with data? We do too. No seriously, we love it. That’s why we are looking for a Python developer who is comfortable working with semi-structured data on a large scale. We need someone who craves challenge and is willing to roll-up their sleeves. We collect our data from a variety of sources, and it needs to be sliced, diced, and normalized.
Responsibilities
Junior Engineers are responsible for:
Diagnosing problems in …
Creating fixes for…
Monitoring …
Improving our monitoring of …
Thinking of ideas for improving …
… our real-time availability systems
… our feed loading and generation systems
… our other data acquisition systems (APIs, etc)
Senior engineers are responsible for …
All of the above.
Providing technical leadership in all of the above.
Mentoring junior engineers.
Understanding, implementing and potentially adapting our development processes.
Experience
Python programming experience, and lots of it
Experience programming with Django and various Python ORMs
A solid data processing background
