Zest Health is seeking an enthusiastic and driven individual to join its Engineering team for 8-10 weeks this summer to focus on web application software development, automated testing and platform growth. The position will provide valuable experience working closely with the Zest engineering and product team and provide exposure to web application technologies as well as integration with 1st and 3rd party services.
Responsibilities will include:
Working in a team environment focused on agility and using the best principles of agile development
Solving technical problems collaboratively with Zest team members
Monitoring and visualizing of application and event logs (both 1st party and 3rd party services)
Optimizing overall system and application performance
Code deployments across environments together with other Zest team members
Supporting other members of the Zest Team as needed
Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and challenging start-up environment
Self-motivated and thrives on learning and experimenting with new technologies
Strong communication skills and eagerness to share best practices with others
Passion for new technology, healthcare and entrepreneurship
Previous exposure to MVC frameworks and comfort with object-oriented technologies
Previous exposure to databases (preferably SQL Server, Postgres, Redis/Mongo)
Previous exposure to cloud host providers (preferably Microsoft Azure)
Previous exposure to source control systems (preferably Git)
