Overview
thredUP is the online marketplace for Moms to buy, sell and swap children's clothing. With nearly 300K members, we are starting a new chapter and are excited to be growing our team to take on the ambitious new opportunity.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the CTO, you will engage in all phases of the development lifecycle with a focus on the image and photo processing algorithms and tools we are planning to build. For an idea of the general complexity we are looking to tackle, imagine a dozen user submitted photos and how close we can get to the elegance of the collages at http://daily.thredup.com or http://www.polyvore.com.
Experience
At least three years working with photo or video algorithms
Experience working with photo layouts & arrangements
Experience with programming for digital photography
Experience working in a small startup environment
Engineering or Computer Science Degree
Team-oriented (no cave dweller developers here - except on work at home Wednesdays)
Bonus if you have: Web development experience, Ruby on rails experience, Open source contributions, Enjoy writing blog posts to share knowledge with others, HTML/HAML, CSSS/SASS, Javascript/Coffeescript
