Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails)

Overview
A stealth startup within Mr. Youth, Mashable’s Social Media Agency of the Year and one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Agencies, is looking for rockstar software engineers to join our team.

We'll be building out the new platform from the ground up using best of breed technologies including Ruby, Rails, Rack, jQuery, MySQL, MongoDB and others. You'll be working in an agile environment where we focus on keeping things simple and automating as much as possible (from test suites to deployment).
Responsibilities
Design, build and test the core components of the new platform
Investigate innovative solutions to platform requirements, thinking outside the box to get things done
Become a leader on the team helping grow and mentor new engineers
Experience
Minimum of three years applicable software engineering web applications
Extensive experience with Ruby on Rails is a big plus (limited experience a requirement)
Experience building RoR plugins or Ruby gems a huge plus
Experience with Baysien classifiers and other machine learning techniques a plus
Contribution to open source projects or side projects is a huge plus
Git experience a plus
Experience with Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, etc...) a plus
Experience developing APIs a huge plus (or at least love of well designed APIs)
Education
CS or related degree
