Software Engineer (Unity 3D)

Overview
UQ Inc is an early stage, stealthy startup based in San Francisco. We’re not publicly saying much at the moment, but we can say that we’re building a platform to enable children, parents and educators to interact online.

We have a solid seed round of funding and are looking for a great Unity developer to be part of the initial development team. You will be working with the VP of Engineering and Game Designer to build out our initial experiences and the platform to support them.
Responsibilities
Work with UX and game designers to define and build 3D game content using C# in Unity 3D
Work with the VP of Engineering to build common core code and client libraries for use in multiple games
Build and maintain solid unit tests which provide good coverage of the code
Ensure that the platform is robust and scales well
Experience
3+ years of solid software development experience with at least 1 year of experience with Unity 3D
At least one shipped game
Familiarity with multi-player games and server integration
Experience with UNIX systems.
Experience with modern bug tracking and version control systems.
Desirable - Ability to help process and develop art assets (i.e. the further back up the art pipe-line you can wotk the better.
Desirable - Experience scaling data-intensive applications with high concurrent-user load.
Desirable - Having used SmartFox Server 2x with Unity 3d
Desirable - Big bonus for Web Development (RoR) skills as well.
Education
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
