You will own the full cycle of big feature development: from definition, design, development, and testing, and work with an exceptional team to deliver products that make development for Hadoop more fun.
Responsibilities
You have:
Expert Java and network programming skills
Good working knowledge of JDK and commons APIs
Experience with UI development, preferably Swing and SWT
Good knowledge of distributed systems, and building reliable and fault tolerant software
Unix environment experience, preferably Linux
Excellent debugging and performance tuning skills
Excellent communication skills
Strong pluses:
Experience developing applications on NetBeans RCP or Eclipse RCP
Knowledge of Hadoop and MapReduce
Familiarity with Hive, Pig, HBase, and other Apache projects
