Purpose of Position:
QA Engineers are responsible for all facets of the manual QA process. They are expected to develop test plans and test cases (in a manner that lend themselves to subsequent automation), carry out the actual product testing, as well as diagnose and document problems that are discovered and document the completion of testing projects. They are expected to work effectively with little-to-no management oversight.

They should be well versed in interpreting functional requirements, as well as discerning requirements that are not formally documented. They should be well versed in the software development life cycle (SDLC), and able to utilize the tools typically used to aid the QA process. They are also expected to ensure we release high-quality software.
Responsibilities
Develop test plans and test cases, including analysis of complex use cases.
Investigate and document discovered problems.
Well-versed in interpreting functional requirements and functional specifications.
Well-versed in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Ability to perform impact analysis of software changes
Able to consistently ensure we produce high-quality software.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure, entrepreneurial environment.
Document process or procedures within QA department.
Interact with other departments (e.g., development, support, product management, etc.).
This position is expected to work effectively with little-to-no management oversight.
Experience
Degreed professional with minimum 3+ years’ testing experience with at least 2 years hands-on performing QA in a .NET environment including conducting manual testing.
Strong experience with Exchange required
Demonstrated ability to analyze use-cases to create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Thorough understanding of web-based technologies and applications.
Experience in a software company that implemented and sold software products in a competitive marketplace.
Must have excellent verbal and writing communications skills.
Education
Degreed professional preferred, but applicable experience will be accepted.
