● Managing social media pages You will be expected to grow the social media pages and
increase engagement across all channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and
YouTube. NOTE our Twitter page already has around 15k real, targeted likes, so you will
have a big crowd to tweet to :)
● Content management This is your most important role because
you will be responsible for uploading the best highlights from YouTube to our videos
page, the best sports pictures from Flickr to our photos page, writing sports blogs post
(only if you’re comfortable writing about sports), creating sports groups, etc., which is
going to be a huge part of why users spend time on our site.
● If you’re a really good writer who enjoys covering sports, I will have you build up a blog
portfolio on Sports Wonks, which you can share with sports blogs in hopes that they will
allow for you to guest blog on their sites. This will help a lot because the posts will link
back to our site and drive free/targeted traffic.
● If you have web and/or mobile development skills and/or can help with writing a strong
business plan for investors, that is a plus, but it is not required.
NOTE The official launch for the Sports Wonks site will happen in late March and the site is
about to go through a great redesign, so the site you see now isn’t the site that we will launch
I will coach you up on everything that is listed above during the onboarding process. This is a
virtual position, although I encourage you to attend our startup events in Manhattan when you’re
available. The expected weekly time commitment is 20 hours. We will communicate daily and
the pay is $150/month via check or PayPal.
