We are currently looking for a New York City-based recent college grad with significant sports knowledge across professional and college sports (esp. baseball, football, basketball) to 1) research and write pieces around big events, big series/rivalries, and team histories/bios to be published across our media network (50% of time) and 2) help with data entry, analysis, and the management of our sports blog network (50% of time).
You will work in our office near Penn Station. This is a great opportunity to work towards a full-time role at a rapidly growing and very exciting start-up!
In the last two years, we've grown to become the largest aggregator of event tickets online, reaching millions of consumers a month through TiqIQ.com, as well as our network of nearly 1,000 publishers, ranging from The Washington Post to the best sports and music blogs on the Internet. Whether on TiqIQ.com, a partner site, on Facebook or Twitter, our platform connects seamlessly with fans interested in seeing their favorite teams, artist and shows.
Support Director of Publisher Business Development, VP, and CEO on multiple online
marketing and writing initiatives.
Distribute TiqIQ original content through different channels
Identify newsworthy sports, music, and entertainment trends
Strong writing skills; Journalism and creative writing majors encouraged to apply!
A passion for and experience with sports journalism and online content.
An interest and and basic knowledge of online and mobile advertising, including Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
Comfortable with data organization and analysis
Deep knowledge of day to day current events in the sports and music world
Heavy interest and/or experience in researching, writing, editing, and curating content in the sports and/or music industries.
Comfortable using Twitter, Facebook, Tumbler, Word Press, and/or other social media and/or blog tools
Interest in event ticket market and familiarity with major ticket buying platforms
College Graduate (4 year).
A monthly intern stipend w/ travel coverage and free tickets on TiqIQ.com. A performance based bonus will also be included.
