Overview
The Sr. Back End Web Developer will join a highly talented creative and technology team dedicated to creating the finest Web 2.0 properties available. The Sr. Back End Web Developer will design, implement and maintain back-end for web applications.
Responsibilities
Design, implement and maintain back-end for web applications
Produce clean, high-quality code
Maintain existing static and dynamic web sites
Interact with front-end development team
Maintain cutting-edge knowledge of current and emerging technologies, trends and standards
Experience
3+ years of back-end development
Skills
Fundamental knowledge of back-end web development
Proficiency with server-side programming in Python, PHP, or Java with knowledge of web application frameworks, such as Django
Experience with scalable, multi-server, multi-database web development is a plus
Familiarity with version control and issue tracking systems (SVN + Trac)
Familiarity with front-end web development (HTML/CSS/JS and/or Flash) is a plus
A strong, creative, problem solver, self-motivated and tenacious when tackling tough issues
A team player with energy and enthusiasm, and a high tolerance for change and ambiguity
Excellent communicator with an interest in continuous improvement of self and the organization
Education
Bachelors degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related field
