Sr. Customer Support Engineer

Overview
The Customer Support Engineer is responsible for providing support for customers (Fortune 1000 enterprises) resolving complex technical problems related to Lancope’s network performance and security monitoring solutions. This role will provide post-sales, pre-deployment and project support to customers.
Responsibilities
Deliver expert consulting, design and engineering support to customers for sales opportunities and to improve customer operations.
Represent the company’s technical capabilities and manage day-to-day technical needs of customers.
Drive successful new product installations upgrades for customers
Convert external customer requirements into recommendations for new product features.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of customer support experience for networking/telecommunications applications and solutions.
Knowledge of IP-related protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, and general Routing and Switching protocols.
Knowledge of Linux/Solaris/UNIX Operating Systems and scripting a plus.
Strong analytical, problem solving, written/verbal communication and organizational skills.
BS in Engineering/Computer Science/IT and/or equivalent experience
Experience with Remote Customer Support
