Responsibilities
You'll be part of a sharp Engineering team that operates on the values of open communication, high transparency, empowerment, continuous innovation, teamwork and a customer success culture.
As a Senior UI Engineer/Developer, you will be responsible to:
Choose relevant technologies to use in the presentation tier
Develop a UI framework that allows easy creation of highly interactive and well-designed web business applications
Create the product as expressed by written and verbal specifications from product managers and conversations with the visionary stakeholders
Design and deliver code on the client side
Ensure on-time, high-quality execution of the work above
Develop user interfaces for high performant, highly available and scalable web business applications for end-users
Develop overall user experience and usability aspects for all user interfaces
Develop web-based grids, charting, and drag-and-drop functionality
Advocate simplicity and intuitiveness in all user interfaces
Skills
You have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in UI Development providing solid human centred interaction designs and performant, scalable dynamic GUIs.
Expert in JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, HTML 5, DHTML, DOM Manipulation, AJAX, Cross browser-support.
A good understanding of JSON/REST/SOAP/XML/Web Services.
Experience with atleast one Javascript frameworks jQuery, Dojo, Ext JS, GWT, MooTools, YUI, Prototype.
An overall understanding of server side programming and excellent knowledge of Java and object-oriented Javascript.
Created style guides and applied web usability and web design principles.
Experience in creating effective UX/UI designs across a broad variety of goal-driven environments (i.e. mobile applications, e-commerce, web based business applications, complex dashboards, data visualization systems, etc).
Demonstrable experience in executing new-concept design projects for online software products from start to finish.
Built rich internal business applications.
Excellent communication skills and enjoy client interaction.
Tthrive in small teams and can also work well alone.
Understand the importance of content, visual design, structure, functionality and intuitiveness.
Up to date with the latest bleeding edge UI technologies, UX trends, ideas and experiments.
Experience in working in fast-paced deadline driven agile environments.
Knowledge of UI frameworks like Flex, XAML, XUL skills.
Experience in building mobile websites (a big plus).
Detail-oriented and possess an aptitude for understanding business applications from a functional and technical perspective.
Education
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
