Sr. Manager, Search Engine Marketing

Overview
The Sr. Manager of Search Engine Marketing will be responsible for the management and daily execution of acquiring new traffic across SEM, with a primary focus on yield management to obtain bookings (sales) and gross adds (paid subscription) targets.
Responsibilities
The Sr. Manager of Search Engine Marketing will be responsible for the management and daily execution of acquiring new traffic across SEM, with a primary focus on yield management to obtain bookings (sales) and gross adds (paid subscription) targets.
Develop & Manage SEM programs and calendar to fulfill bookings and gross adds attainment.
Have a solid understanding of customer attributes and needs, the competitive landscape, technology trends, financial implications and product set.
Manage daily interactions with key search engines partners, e.g. Yahoo, Google, AOL etc.
Monitor daily SEM metrics including cost per acquisition (CPA).
Execution
Plan attainment of monthly and quarterly acquisition bookings and gross adds targets
Proactively monitor, analyze, and optimize SEM campaign performance and report ROI for media spend
Leverage web site analytics to identify SEM marketing opportunities to double and triple SEM growth.
Perform SEM market research & competitive analysis.
Collaborate with creative, product & engineering teams, external partners, reporting and analytics teams, other acquisition managers and intercompany departments to drive cross functional SEM acquisition marketing initiatives.
Provide Weekly reports to upper management on key metrics to drive bookings and gross adds attainment
Experience
A minimum of 8 years in online Marketing with a proven track record of achieving SEM plan attainment of $20MM or more annually.
A minimum of 5+ years hands-on experience managing large-scale PPC campaigns with top and secondary search engines (Google, Yahoo!, Bing, Ask.com) using geo-targeting and retargeting techniques.
Expert with the Google AdWords Editor tool and the Microsoft AdCenter Desktop Editor (Experience with Wordstream, Omniture Search Center and Site Catalyst is a plus)
Skills
Expert with ad copy and A/B landing page testing design, implementation and analysis (multivariate testing is a plus)
Data driven with strong analytical skills. Proficient with MS Excel.
Detail-oriented with strong project management skills
Ability to thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environment
Experience developing target projections
Proven ability to deliver valuable business insights based on multiple data sources available in the organization and search traffic tools.
Ability to plan, organize and establish priorities with significant analytical, logical and strategic thinking skills.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills and interpersonal skills with an ability to work with the executives and a wide range of professionals, and effectively lead and inspire to achieve group goals.
Enthusiastic, organized, and self-motivated.
