Sr Product Manager

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assess market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products for product area of responsibility. Identify and defend against competitive threats; identify and exploit competitor’s weaknesses.
Track developments in consumer technology and assess applicability to our product offering
Create, manage and execute the product roadmap to meet business objectives & goals. Coordinate with other departments when implementing the project plans (Engineering, Marketing, Customer Care, Analytics and Quality Assurance). Update and augment the product requirements as necessary.
Work with key cross-functional teams to manage and deliver all product projects on time and within budget; balance product requirements and market impact against time to market and project risks.
Monitor, evaluate, prioritize, and incorporate customer and prospect feedback into project plans and regularly scheduled enhancement releases.
Monitor key conversion metrics to support continual optimization of the product and business plan.
Create and maintain weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual management reports to track progress against plan for key metrics including product usage, customer satisfaction and market share. Identify performance gaps and work to resolution.
Experience
The Sr. Product Manager will be an integral team member of a new eHarmony service. Qualified candidates MUST have product/service experience at a major, consumer-facing technology company.
This role is responsible for increasing customer registrations, sales conversion and customer satisfaction. Additionally, this person will have dedicated time to study forward-looking consumer technologies and recommend their applicability to our customer base.
Daily activities include: gathering market and technical requirements, developing strategic product plans, creating specific product requirements, coordinating project schedules and timelines, and ensuring effective communications within the cross-functional team.
Lastly, the Sr. Product Manager leads large initiatives that span multiple groups including Engineering, Marketing Programs, Content, Creative, Sales, and Customer Service, so strong communication skills are required.
Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
3-5 years of comparable product management experience at a large consumer-facing technology company
Internet or software product management experience required (business to consumer)
Thorough understanding of Internet/Software product development processes
Proven track record coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
Ability to effectively influence multiple teams to drive internal consensus and common goals
Proven creative problem solving and innovative mindset
Self-motivated worker with entrepreneurial passion and ability to effectively multi-task
Education
BA/BS Required; MBA a plus
Compensation
Depends on Experience. Stock options and bonus eligible.
