As a Senior Software Engineer - Localization, you will play a leadership role in taking Glassdoor international. You’ll apply your strong technical background and deep experience in localization and internationalization to establish the architecture, processes, and tools necessary to localize Glassdoor. You will also establish and evangelize best practices for l10n/i18n across the engineering department.

In this role you work with a small, collaborative team of engineers, QA, and product managers – so excellent interpersonal and communication skills are also a must. 5+ years of software development experience on large scale, high-volume sites
2+ years of internationalization experience in a large scale, web environment, including industry standard localization tools (WorldServer, TRADOS, translation memories, term databases(TD) workflows, etc.).
Experience debugging software localization issues that arise in dealing with language-specific character encodings and varied file formats
Java web development experience on large scale, high-volume sites, ideally with open source frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate and Struts 2
Experience with SQL
Bonus: knowledge of one language other than English: French, Italian, German, Spanish or Japanese
Bonus: experience building mobile web applications or products

BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
