Responsibilities
You will be responsible for architecting and delivering modules which connect various data sources (such as storage arrays, switches, servers, virtualization technologies – VMware, Hyper-V, LPAR, etc.) to the VI server framework.
Experience
3+ years of applicable server development experience including significant experience with highly scalable, enterprise-class applications. Proficiency in Java application design and development including experience with Core Java Libraries and object-oriented development methodology.
Strong background in SNMP or network management systems a big plus
Strong background in Fibre Channel
Strong background working with SDKs and monitoring APIs
Additional experience with one or more of the following, AXIS, SMIS, JMS, etc.
Experience identifying and resolving scalability and performance issues.
Must have a good sense of engineering tradeoffs, and an ability to understand the impact of software changes on extendibility, scalability, performance, and clarity.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Education
BS in Computer Science or equivalent required; MS in Computer Science preferred.
