Position: Staffing Specialist
Type: Non-Compensated Volunteer Position, Part-time Telecommuting is OK
Time Commitment: 20 - 25 h/week, 3-8 months
Reports to: HR Director

About the position:
HR- Staffing Specialist is a non-compensated volunteer position, working under the supervision of the HR Director. HR- Staffing Specialist oversees and manages activities, procedures and tasks related to SSV volunteer staff, assigned by the HR Lead.The individual is expected to primarily manage the recruitment process, onboarding process and conduct orientation for the new volunteers joining SSV. We are looking for an individual who is a self -starter and reliable, who is used to taking on responsibility and producing consistent results in a timely manner.

Responsibilities
Assist SSV Team Leads in designing new job descriptions based on current demands for recruitment purposes
Attract volunteers using various websites and social platforms, seek new venues to obtain volunteers for strategically important positions at SSV
Determine applicants qualifications by interviewing, analyzing responses, comparing qualifications with the job requirements, etc.
Manage effective correspondence appropriately in a timely manner and arrange interviews by coordinating schedules
Perform various administrative tasks relating to volunteer recruitment, on-boarding (conducting orientation) and exiting procedures using SSV electronic filing systems
Maintain volunteer database including regular update of organizational chart
Assign volunteers to appropriate Team Leads
Perform volunteer satisfaction and follow up procedures
Prepare reports upon management demand using volunteer database
Conduct research, compile data and prepare reports for consideration and presentation for executive management.
May manage internship program by conducting orientation, monitoring intern job contributions, coaching interns and managing the database
May compile, transcribe and distribute minutes of interviews or other meetings
May participate and assist in SSV events, workshops, or fairs that have a potential to attract new volunteers
Participate in other general office activities, assist with general clerical duties and HR research projects as assigned by HR Lead or executive management
Maintain confidentiality in all SSV related aspects. Accomplish human resources and organization mission as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong motivation to excel at SSV
Knowledge of principles, practices and standards of human resource management.
Knowledge of the methods and procedures used in collecting, analyzing, interpreting and reporting data.
