Storage Systems Developer

Overview
Curoverse is building a distributed platform for managing and analyzing exascale genomic and biomedical data sets. All the software we develop is free and open source. Our systems will be deployed in hospitals and universities around the world to help treat diseases like cancer.

We're looking for an experienced storage system developer who has worked on building production storage appliances. Experience with distributed storage systems such as a Ceph or HDFS is a plus.
Responsibilities
Distributed Content Addressable Storage - Develop a next-generation storage system for medical and scientific big data using Google Go.
Federated Storage - Create a system to federate data storage across clusters in hospitals and universities around the world.
Multi-Tier Storage Management - Build a management tools for multi-tier storage management including hybrid cloud integration.
Experience
Strong background in systems programming, concurrency, and IPC in a Linux environment
Strong background in networking and client/server APIs
Experience using Git
Storage system development experience
Skills
Proficiency in Go or a solid C/C++ background and willingness to learn Go
Knowledge about security best practices
Demonstrated ability to work on a small, agile, self-organizing team
Education
Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in Computer Science
