Overview
Castlight is in need of an execution-driven individual to support strategic and business development efforts. The Strategy & BD Associate at Castlight will be responsible for performing research/analyses, evaluating and developing new business opportunities and supporting development of major partnerships. The ideal candidate for this role will be an exceptional performer with experience in strategy, management consulting, or business development in the health care space.
Responsibilities
Evaluate and triage business development opportunities
Perform analyses, e.g. determine implications of industry trends, assess competitive landscape, develop new market and entry strategies
Participate in working sessions and discussions with internal and external teams to scope, structure, implement and manage partnerships
Perform key business development activities, including generating discussion materials, performing product demos and conducting financial analyses
Support partnership evaluation and negotiation processes including drafting legal agreements and RFP’s
Work closely with BD, Sales, Product, Clinical, Legal, Finance and Operations teams to facilitate successful execution of partnership and strategic initiatives
Experience
2-4 years experience in strategy, management consulting, and/or business development functions
Prior work experience in the health care industry, ideally with understanding of the health plan, benefits, provider, PBM and/or health IT landscapes
Excellent project management, problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage complex processes
Strong communication and presentation skills
