Mobile gaming startup is looking for a principal developer to bring its server platform and mobile applications from prototype to a public launch.
Gorb was founded by two Brown students with strong background in Computer Science/Business/Entrepreneurship, and is one of the companies to emerge from the Betaspring accelerator out of Providence. We have very strong contacts in the industry, and currently need to implement just a few features to go from prototype to launch ready (we're still flying under the radar, can explain further what this would entail during the interview process). We are a small team that is currently bootstrapped (we have only taken a small investment so far).
We are looking for someone to join the team- both to work on the backend, and to be able to 'man' it once we launch. An appetite for challenge and a disciplined approach to reaching goals is essential.

You will own our backend engineering until launch. We already have a functional backend that you will be caught up on, we just need to implement a bit more functionality.
The main thing that you will be working on to get to launch is to create a live syncing game engine that will be able to hook into the front end (on both iPhone and Android). The framework for this exists already.
You will be working in a team of 3, mainly with our CTO (who has built the backend thus far) who will map out the general approach to core functionality to implement.
Our biggest requirement, even if you don't have the experience below, is that you are hungry, a quick learner, and motivated by a challenge
