Overview
We currently run an e-commerce site selling sporting goods. We are seeking a web developer/ Graphic Designer for the summer to help us accomplish a few projects. This individual will be responsible for aiding our team to further develop our website.

The ideal candidate must display excellent written and oral skills with demonstrated interpersonal and organization abilities. A candidate for this position must be able to work in a varied, fast paced environment. Flexibility and tolerance is a necessity. Candidate needs to be able to travel to our Bronx location. We offer flexible hours and travel reimbursement. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone to gain experience in web design, e-commerce, and office administration.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have experience building and maintaining websites in CSS and HTML
Experience working with Content Management Systems
1+ years experience in Web Development (hand-coding html/css)
Clean code, experience in the following: CSS and HTML
Develop targeted meta data and optimized web content Track competitors’ sites for advertisement purpose.
Maintain and enhance existing website and its applications.
Design and implement user-driven templates, databases and interfaces for ease of use.
Candidate must be a team player and willing to teach and to learn as well as work with a diverse group of co-workers.
Skills
The Ideal candidate will also possess the following skills:
Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
Able to promptly answer support related email, phone calls and other electronic communications.
Self motivated, detail-oriented and organized.
Experience with hardware and software issues.
Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
Typing proficient
Education
• Bachelors degree or working on earning a bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or related experience.
• Basic HTML and CSS coding
• Previous experience in a sporting goods e-commerce or any e-commerce is a plus but not required.
• Flash video/animation experience is a plus.

Compensation
This an unpaid Internship, minimum salary available upon results.
