We are looking for a superstar sysadmin with a focus on cloud infrastructure technologies, to bootstrap our mobile video sharing and cloud media management service. This person will own our Production infrastructure with a focus on Availability, Automation, Scaling and Performance. The ideal candidate is one who loves to be deeply hands-on, understands what it takes to achieve high availability, doesn't shy away from development, and has built & managed large-scale cloud-based infrastructures, ideally in a consumer facing web/mobile technology company. If selected, you will work with a group of smart and driven engineers who love to take on tough problems and who thrive on innovation and exceeding user expectations. You will be responsible for setting up and managing our Production infrastructure on Amazon; automating deployments; monitoring and self-healing; release management; scaling and performance; and some development infrastructure support. We are an early stage startup, so you never know what else you might be asked to do; but we guarantee you that beer will be involved.

The following expertise is desired:

In-depth knowledge of Linux (CentOS, Red Hat) admin; ability to build and manage from kernel up • Strong ability to write advanced scripts in Bash/Python/Perl/PHP • Amazon EC2 & S3, RackSpace Cloud, Akamai, Virtualization (Xen, VMware), RAID, SAN • Postgres, mem.cached, Oracle, database admin & performance management • Scribe, Nagios, Cacti, Ganglia, Big Brother, Varnish • JVM profiling tools, J2EE admin & performance support • Dev Support & Infrastructure (svn, ldap, jira, hudson, selenium, linux, twiki, etc) • HA Load balancers (AWS, F5 BigIP, Cisco, Foundry ServerIron), server farm config management, release management • Security (all aspects); must secure sensitive personal data in the cloud; Encryption, PCI, IDS, DDOS Huge Pluses:
