Overview
System Admin p/t for start up travel website launching end March. Opportunity to work full time over a duration. Working with a team in the US & Philippines. Headquartered in San Francisco. Slow launch scaling up over 3 months to public beta.
Responsibilities
creating back-up support database system (real time), fixing bugs and server crashing etc
Experience
mysql, basic php, linux admin
Skills
M.S. or Ph.D. with 4+ years of industry experience
Experience building large-scale recommender system
Experience with large-scale data mining
Comfort manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources
Expert level experience with an object oriented programming language
Experience with SQL and MySQL (LAMP stack), php, linux
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Compensation
negotiable per month flat fee retainer and equity
