Overview
Come be our 2nd systems engineer. We’re looking for a sysadmin who wants the opportunity to scale our ever growing infrastructure.
Responsibilities
What you'll do all day:
Learn and manage our infrastructure and be able to report on it’s health
Provide daily reports and system updates to the engineering team
Work with configuration management tools like Puppet
Participate in on-call rotation
Document best practices and knowledge into the engineering wiki
A variety of other tasks
Experience
Requirements:
Must be comfortable with linux especially the command line and have experience managing a system 100% remotely in remote datacenters
Must have been responsible for at least 10 linux servers without using any user interface other than simple text editor
Must be able to automate with Shell Scripts and have an intermediate familiarity with either Python or Ruby
Has worked with the configuration management system like Puppet or Chef or CFEngine
Has experience with simple monitoring system like Monit or Supervisor or Sensu, Daemontools
Experience with Linux Ubuntu server
Experience with Hadoop, Cloudera or MapR Clusters
Experience using cluster tools allowing to run on multiple servers in parallel
Knows how to configure NFS server and client
Knows how to configure a basic web server with Nginx or Apache
Share Triggit's preference for open source project vs proprietary software
