Systems Administrator

Overview
We are currently looking for a Systems Administrator to join our IT team. This role will be responsible for managing the business critical systems necessary to run our day-to-day operations and to provide the infrastructure necessary for our development team. Duties will include general maintenance of existing systems (monitoring of alerts, troubleshooting problems, executing back-up plans, patching/updates), configuration and deployment of new hardware and software, and the replacement and restructuring of legacy systems.
Responsibilities
Day-to-day administration of a complex UNIX infrastructure (Solaris, Linux…) running in multiple data centers in support of dozens of databases and application suites
Performance optimization and systems monitoring and response for all of our UNIX/Linux environments
Work with development and product teams to launch new services in a dynamic and agile environment
Handle technical support requests for development, QA and production environments
Create and maintain application and other IT documentation, manuals and procedures
Experience
4+ years in a Systems Administrator role
Experience managing large VMware environments
Experience with both Windows and Linux server administration
Experience with Active Directory and Exchange management
Strong security awareness and experience
Critical thinker
