Work closely with developers to design safe and secure solutions
Identify opportunities to automate tasks and maintain operational tools
Lead efforts to diagnose and completely resolve complex systems configuration, production and deployment problems
Diagnose and resolve unique and complex systems problems
Provide support when operational problems occur, problem solving, and root cause analysis
Plan for and implement technologies in support of a rapidly growing web property
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Linux administration, including recent versions of Red Hat, CentOS, and Ubuntu
Familiarity with Linux networking and authentication infrastructure a must
Skilled in operational scripting in languages such as Bash, PHP, Perl, Python or Ruby Python or Perl (PHP /Python preferred)
NoSQL databases experience required – MongoDB preferred
Familiar with public cloud infrastructures and support (such as Amazon’s AWS)
LAMP (Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP/Perl/Python) server config/admin/tuning
System monitoring experience (nagios, cacti, groundwork, etc)
Experience with database automation / auditing tools (i.e.: Splunk, Puppet) a plus
Experience deploying and managing PHP applications with high availability, elasticity and portability in the cloud a huge plus – RightScale preferred
Experience in database server administration, optimization and replication
Excellent communication, organization, time management and multi-tasking skills
Degree in Computer Science/Engineering preferred
