Overview
Seeking a full time Systems Engineer interested in working on Grooveshark's backend infrastructure(hardware and software systems and services ) - serious stuff! You'll work with a team of other engineers to enhance and maintain the underlying infrastructure that power Grooveshark. Sound fun?

Responsibilities
Contribute to the design, implementation, and management of all the underlying data stores, application services, queues, and custom-written subsystems being utilized at Grooveshark.
Align performance and scalability requirements for new product development projects within the capabilities of our infrastructure.
Monitor and forecast the performance of our infrastructure and prevent any bottlenecks from occurring by expanding capacity, optimizing code, and scaling service architectures.
Serve in an on-call rotation as a tier two contact for any service incidents.
Experience
Experience writing high concurrency code.
Substantial experience in developing and debugging in one or more of the following languages: C, C++, Go, Python, Ruby, PHP, Java, and Erlang.
Substantial experience with one or more of the following projects: Memcache, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Hadoop, Nginx, Varnish, and Chef.
Skills
Well read in software engineering practices.
Experience working on large scale systems with high volume of traffic.
Useful contributions to the open source community.
Laser Tag enthusiast.
