Systems Engineer-Algorithm Development/Network Modeling

Overview
We are looking for someone who has bigger view of the system including radio network (all layers of protocols RRC, MAC, PDCP and radio resource management)packet core and has also has familiarity with 3GPP standard work and technology direction market is taking. Person should be a customer facing and should be able to articulate our vision to the customers and the person should have algorithm design experience with Matlab or Opnet tool expertise.
Responsibilities
We are looking for a Principal or Senior level Wireless Systems Engineer for developing next-generation protocols and algorithms particularly in the area of LTE.
Key Job Functions
Work independently to develop new solutions with emphasis on intellectual property creation
Implement simulation models and software prototypes leading to commercial implementations
Perform system analysis on a wide range of network technologies including 3G, LTE, LTE-Advanced and proprietary systems
Experience
6+ years’ experience in wireless industry
Knowledgeable in system optimization algorithms and methods
Experience with wireless protocols from application to physical layer
Expert written and communications skills
Fluent in at least one of the following programming languages: C, C++, Java, Python, Matlab, OPNET
Established track record as a problem solver and effective team player
Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and manage parallel time-critical tasks
Working knowledge of 3GPP standards
Eligible to work in the US
Education
MS or Ph.D
