Overview
Pascal Metrics has an immediate opening for an Systems Engineer for SaaS Operations at our headquarters in Georgetown, Washington DC. The ideal candidate will have experience designing, deploying, and maintaining the infrastructure for highly scalable and fully secured web services platforms.

Experience
Self-motivated, prolific Engineers who enjoy working within small teams, and who take pride and interest in their craft beyond just the job description
Extensive experience configuring/deploying/monitoring infrastructure for open source platforms on Linux
Scripting expertise with python, perl, ruby, or your favorite shell
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment driven by a competitive startup mentality
Hands-on technologists with the skills required to configure, maintain, scale, and optimize out platform’s components (MySQL, MongoDB, Memcache, Nginx, Ubuntu)
In-depth understanding of web technologies from protocols to browsers and everything in between
Experience with SaaS platforms and webservices deployed on virtual servers in the cloud (Rackspace, Amazon EC2, etc.)
Thorough understanding of security principles and ability to apply best practices and compliance-based security patterns to local, remote, and cloud-based servers.
Bonus points for DBA experience, familiarity with Mac OSX Server, Crashplan Pro, and/or Robo devices, and practical knowledge of network design and deployment (VPN, Voice over IP, WAP security, Cisco IOS)
Education
Bachelors and/or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or realted
