The Technical Writer will design and develop documentation for Totsy’s systems infrastructure team. The primary responsibility will be to create and modify operating, service continuity and disaster recovery diagrams and procedures. Develop a wide variety of highly technical documentation including server, storage, backup, database, network, disaster recovery and application related documents. Use source material and interview key technical and business stakeholders to obtain the necessary information to develop comprehensive internal/external documentation. Validate existing documentation and ensure the clarity, completeness, technical accuracy and quality of the information.
This individual must have excellent written, verbal, presentation and organizational skills. This position requires strong research skills; be very detailed oriented; and have the ability to gather information from various technical areas and technical subject matter experts; and to translate technical requirements into standard documentation and procedural manuals. In addition, the technical writer must have the ability to design, implement, and maintain wiki namespaces and pages and migrate legacy documents to the wiki.

Excellent written, verbal, presentation and organizational skills
Experience creating technical system diagrams (network, server, etc.) and documentation using Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
Experience working with UNIX/Linux systems administrators and/or software development technical teams
Knowledge of process flow in infrastructure technologies such as Server, Network, Security and Application
Ability to analyze, interpret, and simplify technical information and clearly communicate this information to target audiences
Experience using Confluence (or another major Wiki tool) to develop and migrate product documentation to wiki templates and page linking layouts
Ability to adhere to a formal style guide and standardized templates
