TV Critic - Lead Editor

Overview
As the TV Department Lead, you would make sure writers meet the deadlines you set, help come up with creative feature/editorial ideas, edit articles, some light PR work, and a few other key tasks. The overall workflow and style of the department would be in the lead editor's hands with training and supervision from the Editor-in-Chief.

Experience
These are all pluses:
Management experience
Prior experience with content management systems
Knowledgeable about creating strong SEO
An interest in multimedia content such as podcasts and vlogs
Social media savvy
Skills
Able to lead, manage, and monitor writers
Strong command of the English language
Can be personable and articulate through text
Expert knowledge and high interest in different types of TV (largely genre shows or on HBO, FX, AMC, IFC, Netflix, etc)
Education
Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, film/TV, or any other related field is a plus.
Compensation
Currently on a volunteer/internship basis, but will ideally be paying at a later point. Overall time investment will normally be well under 10 hours a week until it switches to paid full-time.
