We are looking for a talented User Experience Designer to help us create an engaging and useful web-based application. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of user-centered design, an ability to take cool ideas and deliver an end-to-end experience, and a proven track record designing web based applications for consumers.

Responsibilities
Be the user advocate in the organization
Work with product team to develop design concepts for new product features
Facilitate reviews with users and team members to get feedback on designs
Create process and task flow diagrams
Develop UI wireframes, mock-ups and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction design ideas
Work closely with Product Development to execute designs
Identify potential usability issues and make constructive suggestions for improvement
Experience
2–8 years experience designing usable, complex web-based applications
Solid understanding of DHTML, scripting, and web technologies
Experience designing educational products a plus
Skills
Skill and passion for the entire spectrum of User Experience activities (information architecture, interaction design, visual design)
Proficiency with wireframing and UI mock-up tools such as OmniGraffle, Visio, Fireworks, Illustrator, and Photoshop
Experience with ethnographic research and usability studies
Ability to hand code HTML/CSS
Education
Background in human-computer interaction or related field. Graduate degree preferred, but not required.
