Overview
This position is all about developing best of breed web applications that utilize cutting edge technology and practices. Extensive understanding of and experience with relational data modeling (SQL Server), and web application architecture using ASP.NET and C#, AJAX, and LINQ will be required. Tech Leads are responsible for developing web applications and products for clients and Verndale internal systems, ensuring the highest level of quality and performance.
Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership to the entire Verndale Engineering team.
Architect and lead development of web applications using ASP.NET and MS SQL Server.
Work between client, project manager, and development team, effectively documenting technical requirements and communicating with development team to actualize results.
Enhance development standards to maximize efficiency and turnaround within the programming department.
Mentor and guide the junior engineers.
Work and implement structure to support adoption of unit testing as part of an automatic build and testing infrastructure.
Experience
5 + years experience in software development related to business applications and web programming
Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Stack of technology including Microsoft SQL Server, and ASP.NET, • An interest in staying on top of the latest technologies and innovations in web application technologies
The ability to lead, manage, and maintain standards and practices in a team-oriented environment.
The ability to handle the demands of a fast-growing company and provide direction to other functional departments in the area of improving web programming.

Education
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related major prefered but not mandatory
Compensation
Compensation is based on experience. This is a senior level role.
