Technical Pre-Sales Account Manager

Overview
We are looking for a talented technical sales person to help us follow up on leads and close deals. You will be the relationship owner for incoming leads and take absolute ownership of the discovery process and writing/delivery or proposals. You will work with project managers or technical leads to obtain project estimates and determine solutions to business problems of various complexity. All projects are software related. The successful candidate will be extremely highly-motivated, have a track record of sales success, have experience collecting and writing requirements and proposals, experience with consultative selling, and perfect in their follow-up.
Responsibilities
Develop and cultivate relationships with inbound leads from partners and other sources
Lead demos and answer product questions
Work closely with partners to help close deals and provide the right solution to clients
Fully engage the client in the discovery process in order to narrow down a discrete and full-pictured list of requirements for the development team.
Generate well-written proposals using templates
Follow up with clients in a timely fashion
Meet monthly sales goals, communicate frequently with business manager
When we run out of leads, look for ways to bring in new opportunities (cold calls, email/marketing campaigns, etc.)
Experience
2-years consultative selling experience (experience in pre-sales preferred but not required)
Experience with technical demonstrations of software products preferred but not required
Possess ability to work with little to no supervision while maintaining focus, very independent
Superb communication skills and professionalism
Like-able and has a verifiable track record of sales success
Strong organization and time management skills
Works well in a high-pressure environment
Have your own transportation, has ability to travel to meet with clients if needed (10% of the time)

NOT a last minute type of person. But can adapt last minute if needed. Flexible/agile, enjoys structure but can roll with the punches and adapt
Has a bias towards action, coachable, respects confidentiality
Detail oriented, yet can keep their eye on the big picture
Education
4-year degree preferred (Engineering, MIS, IT-related, Technical Sciences preferred)
Compensation
Low to Mediocre Hourly Rate + High Commissions. Commensurate with experience.
