Technical Sales Engineer

Overview
The Technical Sales Engineer is the strategic partner and customer engagement representative for LineStream in China & Taiwan. This role serves as a focal point to ensure the successful promotion and adoption of LineStream’s technology by partners and customers in the region.

Key Objectives
•Establish and nurture long term relationships with strategic partners, customers, distributors and independent design houses
•Drive partner and customer engagement programs to establish LineStream as the leading provider of control solutions in assigned markets and industries
•Expand market share by generating profitable sales with existing and new accounts
•Become the customer-facing technical expert in LineStream’s technology
Responsibilities
Identify sales and business development opportunities with partners and customers to establish and grow the sales pipeline.
Understand the customer’s strategy and technology roadmap, the market, competition, and trends and apply this knowledge to successfully facilitate sales.
Proactively interface and communicate with partners and customers to build and maintain strong relationships:
Organize and manage regular customer visits, calls, demonstrations and presentations with customers.
Drive and facilitate customer technology days.
Develop a network of contacts within customer organization (eg. Engineering, Project Management, Product - - Management, R&D, etc.) and share details of these contacts with relevant colleagues and partners via Insightly.
Develop high level relationships within the customer’s design/technology organizations.
Demonstrate LineStream core technology on multiple partner platforms at customer meetings, partner training sessions and conferences/seminars.
Maintain regular contact with customers to manage customer expectations about project timelines, milestones and deliverables.
Proactively manage, track and report sales pipeline utilizing designated tools (Insightly, etc.).
Proactively interface and communicate with internal LineStream stakeholders (eg. Sales, Engineering, Product Management) to build and maintain strong relationships to achieve individual and company goals.
Develop and facilitate training days for partner application engineers.
Experience
Previous experience in sales - Required
Professional level engineering experience – Preferred
Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities in accordance with company plans
High level of written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate in English
Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in Mandarin
Flexibility in working days and travelling
