Technical Sales Representative (Business Development)

Philmaking is a consulting company that provides tech centric consultants to our client companies. We are at the forefront of design and technology and our clients include NASA, Fortune 100's as well as VC-backed startups. The range of consultants we place for staff augmentation include Project Managers, Business Analysts, Oracle Engineers, Web Developers and anyone in between.

We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Sales Representative to service and grow existing clients as well as developing new business.

We are looking for a self-motivated salesperson to call on a select number of companies in the Bay Area. We would prefer someone who understands Information Technology and has worked in selling any of the following services:

* Consultants
* Contract-to-hire
* Permanent placement

You will have the flexibility to work out of your home office, set your own hours and determine how much you make. For the right person, we can offer the best incentive pay of any company.

You must have experience selling to decision makers. We need someone who loves to hunt because our deals do not fall into our laps. This has the potential to be a career long sales job that you will love!
Responsibilities
Face to face account management
Cold Call Sales
Database Maintenance: maintain notes, contacts, activities, etc., for companies, contacts and candidates
Work with recruiting staff to build accurate job descriptions and qualify candidates for client engagements
Build relationships with clients, candidates and consultants
Attend networking events on a regular basis
Perform recruiting on an as needed basis, usually in overload situations when the volume of client requirements becomes too great for full time recruiters to handle.
This position requires strict compliance with company processes in performing the administrative aspects of the job. The successful candidate will be a "people person" who is technology savvy. The ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple projects is critical to this role.
Experience
Minimum of 3-5 years of success selling tech consuservices.
Ability to work fast and efficiently to identify and qualify potential clients
Must be Internet savvy and have strong MS Office skills
Must possess a strong sense of customer service and excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must have a high attention to detail and possess strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
Skills
3-5 years minimum embodying successful track record as an outside sales person in the consulting / staffing industry in the Bay Area
Have strong knowledge of technical terms related to Information Technology, Computer Engineering, etc.
Be energetic, articulate, creative and willing to do whatever it takes for as long as it takes to close business and satisfy our clients
Be a team player
Ability to work fast and efficiently to deliver top notch consultants to qualified clients
Must be Internet savvy and have strong MS Office skills
Must possess a strong sense of customer service and excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must have a high attention to detail and possess strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
Compensation
Open depending on experience and the balance between base salary and commission
