TokBox is looking for an experienced Platform Support Engineer who will work independently to deliver great customer service to our Developer Community. You will need to become intimately familiar with the TokBox API, and will possess strong JavaScript development skills as well as a thorough understanding of the browser DOM, in order to guide developers through setup, debugging and maintenance issues.
Responsibilities
Respond to technical customer inquires via email and the online community
Serve as first point of contact for all inbound developer queries. Always maintain a healthy two way communication with the community to keep the developers engaged
Proactively engage with customers to help ensure the success of their early implementations
Debug code snippets posted by TokBox API users, working with development QA teams as needed
Escalate bugs and feature requests to product, development and QA functions
Analyze and identify trends and "problem areas" and communicate that assessment cross-functionally on a regular basis
Become a passionate evangelist for TokBox products
Experience
2-5 years of hands-on experience and a proven background in technical support
Strong technical understanding of JavaScript (coding, analysis and debugging), the Document Object Model, and event-driven APIs
Passion for new platforms and technologies - and showing others the possibilities and applications a plus
Strong technical communications skills, both written and oral
Experience with Flash applications highly desirable
Familiarity with one or more of the following languages: Java, PHP, Python, Ruby, C#/.NET desirable
Desire to thrive in a fast-paced, growing, and dynamic environment
Education
BA/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
