The technical support engineer is a key part of the engineering organization and responsible for working with customers to resolve product issues and provide detailed technical feedback to engineering. This role interacts with customers daily and requires good communications skills.
Work with customers and partners to define and resolve product issues
Reproduce customer issues (build and debug C source code)
File and track detailed bug reports
Work closely with engineering and QA to resolve various technical issues
Provide continual feedback to QA and engineering on product issues
Create and build product demos and write simple instructions to build and run demos
Respond in a timely manner to software defect reports and product customization requests.
This position requires a solid grasp of computer science and programming fundamentals as well as:
C programming skills
Experience using sockets (desired, not required)
Experience with any scripting language (Ruby, Python, Perl)
Makefile, Visual Studio, Eclipse experience
Linux, VxWorks, Android, Windows environment knowledge
Extra points for working knowledge in any of the following: networking security (IPSec and SSL), FIPS, Cryptography
Excellent communication skills
Must work well with others and be ready to learn and explore new technologies
* BSEE or BSCS, or related experience
