Technical Support Engineer

Overview
Halo Networks is looking for a technical support engineer to join a rapidly growing team. The individual will be responsible for making sure our customers get the best out of our product.

You will need to have a can do attitude and be proactive in answering support queries and getting issues resolved by email and telephone.
Responsibilities
Develop an in depth understanding of our product
Creatively and proactively analyse and resolve customer issues promptly and professionally
Effectively articulate complex information to a variety of technical and non-technical users
Identify issues that are a bug, troubleshoot and provide detailed steps that will help the QA and Development Teams understand the issue for resolution
Support is not a 9 to 5 job so you will need to be flexible and roll up your sleeves when needed
Keep all support queues low and maintain a steady support pace
Experience
Previous customer facing experience preferably within a technical support role working to targets/SLAs
Highly developed technical troubleshooting skills
An interest in, knowledge and understanding of current and upcoming technology as it relates to cloud computing and social media
Like working hard and thrive on the excitement of a goal oriented team
Skills
Ability to work under pressure and to time timelines
Self starter, fast learner
Strong understanding of SaaS web based applications and iOS and Android applications
Excellent interpersonal skills and time management
Good understanding of at least one of the following operating systems: Android, IOS, Blackberry, Rim
At least 2 years working in a Technical Support Team where you have handled more technical and complex requests
Excellent general technical background with demonstrated sound problem solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree, vocational qualification or equivalent experience
