Overview
Relay Graduate School of Education [“RGSE”], recently licensed by New York State and formerly known as Teacher U, is a new, independent graduate school with a ground-breaking master’s degree program designed specifically to respond to today’s demand for effective teachers. RGSE’s Master’s Program is the first-ever to require its graduate students to demonstrate proficiency and achievement while teaching in their K-12 classrooms to earn a degree. RGSE’s Technology Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring an instructionally effective and productive environment for a graduate school that heavily leverages technology. The role is highly visible and recognized, interfacing with a wide variety of internal and external individuals, including students, faculty, staff, and colleagues at partner organizations.

Responsibilities
Technology Support and Logistics
Serve as RGSE’s primary point of contact for technology support for our students, faculty, and staff;
Troubleshoot and resolve technology support requests and library reference requests;
Support the Finance and Enrollment Services teams in their use and administration of RGSE’s student information system;
Ensure that all technology support requests are fulfilled by those team members with the most relevant expertise; and
Support the Chief Information Officer and the Director of Technology with research projects and the preparation of financial reports and compliance documentation.
Support and Management of Vendor Software
Ensure availability of RGSE’s vendor software by completing configuration requests and troubleshooting issues; and
Coordinate with third-party application vendors to organize training and schedule upgrades to systems.
Support for Curriculum Production and Publishing
Support the Teaching and Learning team with the production of online instructional content;
Publish curricular content to RGSE’s learning management system; and
Assist with ongoing administration of RGSE’s learning management system.
Support for Class Days
Organize and plan technology-related logistics for RGSE and TUHC class days; and
Provide on-site technology and audiovisual support for RGSE and TUHC class days, as needed.
Support Quality Assurance (QA) Testing
Support bi-weekly testing of new features and enhancements to RGSE’s custom academic software;
Assist in writing test plans used in QA testing; and
Assist in tracking, updating, and closing entries in RGSE’s bug- and issue-tracking software.
Experience
First and foremost, the Technology Coordinator must share the team’s sense of urgency about the need to improve student achievement through phenomenal teacher training. Additionally, candidates for the position must have the following:
A bachelor’s degree;
Demonstrated comfort with and ability to rapidly learn new technologies;
Strong customer service orientation, team orientation, and collaborative nature;
Fanatic attention to detail as well as proven organizational skills;
Ability to work efficiently, intensely, and within an entrepreneurial environment;
Demonstrated passion for urban education and closing the achievement gap; and
A high level of grit, hope, gratitude, and humor.
