Responsibilities
Responsibilities to include:
Develop component, sub-assembly, final assembly, and field installation test systems & procedures for CPV module manufacturing. Assemble instrumentation & develop software.
Implement & document processes for gauge studies, correlation & calibration
Interface with development, reliability, quality, and operations teams to deliver relevant test data
Develop comprehensive test strategy to maximize yield & throughput, and minimize cost to the company
Develop data collection, storage, and analysis infrastructure to inform accurate & timely business decisions
Build world-class test engineering team
Experience
Experience and Qualifications (required unless otherwise noted):
Familiarity with photovoltaic-specific test instrumentation & metrology a big plus.
Bachelor’s or higher degree in Engineering or the Physical Sciences, or equivalent experience
5-10 years of hands-on test engineering experience
5-10 years practical experience with electronic instrumentation. Familiarity with GPIB, RS232, RS422, and other interface standards.
3-5 years practical experience with test software development. Familiarity with LabView, Python and/or C++ are positives.
Fluency in data analysis tools and Microsoft Office products, especially Excel spreadsheets
Experience with SQL Database language & data management preferred
3-5 years of management experience
5-10 years of experience driving/participating in releasing new products into Manufacturing for volume production
