Overview
MakerBot is looking for a Test Engineer. The right person is a strong team player and is used to working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Ability to create and execute test plans.
Interact with product development teams in compliance to quality and regulatory requirements in all phases of the product development lifecycle.
Review and interpret test results providing feedback on product improvements while delivering clear, meaningful and repeatable test results.
Assume responsibility for own personal development and continuous learning.
Participate in design reviews, safety reviews, ensuring that customer quality requirements are met or exceeded.
Must have the ability to write technical summaries of hardware and software testing performed.
Perform a broad variety of tasks in support of hardware and software product and process design as assigned by the departmental director.
Experience
BS Degree in Engineering or technical discipline with 2-5 years’ experience.
Skills
High degree of ownership and professional commitment required.
Demonstrated expertise to effectively communicate within all levels of the organization.
Exceptional analytical, problem solving, and root-cause analysis skills.
Ability to multitask and handle tasks with competing priorities effectively.
Clear thinker: Simplifying strategy into specific actions with clear accountability, making decisions with speed & accuracy based on best available information and communicating priorities clearly & concisely.
Team-focused and self-motivated, with the ability to work on a schedule and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with PC, Mac, and Linux.
Ability to follow technical instructions in order to operate software and manual tools.
Education
BS Degree in Engineering or technical discipline with 2-5 years’ experience.
