Gild is seeking a passionate, inquisitive, creative, and thoughtful UX Designer to join our Product team. We are fundamentally changing the talent market by providing developers with the information and tools they need to stand out based on their merits. We want an individual who aspires to play a huge role in designing these new experiences. This is an opportunity to build a product used all over the world and actually improve peoples' lives.
There is a lot to accomplish and the perfect candidate is armed with a fluency in current UX best practices and an unbridled enthusiasm to work closely across disciplines to help achieve those goals. You’re flexible but push for what you believe in and can see all sides to an argument. You know how to look at a complex problem and efficiently break it down into manageable pieces. You constantly look for ways to improve everyday experiences. You obsess over the details and accept nothing less than thoughtful, elegant, simple interaction design. You understand our industry and our product and bring a vision of how we can make it better.
Our team of engineers and designers work as a tight cross-disciplinary team but a comfort level collaborating with all parts of the company is a must. Design is an iterative process, and we're looking for people who embrace this philosophy of creation as well.
This job will be based in our headquarters in SOMA near the ballpark in San Francisco. Along with your resumé, please submit a link to your portfolio that highlights UX design or any other relevant work.
