Priority #1 is that you want to join our company on a yacht in the Mediterranean, skiing in Aspen, safari in Tanzania, Oktoberfest in Munich, Carnival in Rio, scuba diving at the Great Barrier Reef, and other amazing vacations. Responsibilities
Full UX design
Front end web development
Iterate designs quickly, taking into account user feedback
Testing, web analytics, and site metrics to match design variants
After success with initial design, build a full team, and potentially assume C-level responsibilities
Contribute to business strategy
Transform the travel industry
Drink cocktails on a yacht
Experience
Strong experience in design of large consumer-facing websites
Demonstrated record of savvy work in technology, design, and business
Must display exceptional portfolio of previous web design work
Must demonstrate strong skills in building large web solutions
Management and technical recruiting experience is a plus, but not essential
Familiarity with SEO, testing for optimization, and web analytics is a plus
Skills
Hands-on coder with strong technical skills in front-end web development
Produce beautiful HTML and CSS
Creative Javascript and jquery development
Ability to brainstorm and quickly prototype new approaches
UI/UX design talent; layout and style are second nature - you don’t produce ugly designs
Excellent communications skills, including translating between technical and English
Work hard, driven, motivated, can-do attitude
Play hard and team player
Ability to work in a fast-paced, unstructured, creative environment
Flawless time-management capabilities, meeting deadlines without excuses - you know how to ship things on time even if we need to improve it in the next version
Compensation
-Negotiable
-Salary (roughly seed stage) plus opportunity for very quick equity position
-Position can start part-time but should soon transition to full-time
