UrbanDaddy is an innovative interactive media brand. We connect with our audience through our daily emails, make that content actionable via ecommerce, publish a couple of websites, and have an amazing app. We also host and sponsor some pretty great events. Across all platforms, our core mission is helping our readers lead the most interesting lives out there.
What we’re looking for:
UD is looking for an editorial intern for our websites. The intern will be part of every aspect of creating content for Driven, Kempt, and any other new launches that come down the road.
The position includes:
Research: Scour the web to find unique, on-brand content specifically around men’s clothing and lifestyle, as well as cars and car culture.
Brainstorming: Attend editorial meetings, discuss and pitch your own ideas.
Photo Sourcing: Have an eye for great, one-of-a-kind photo to illustrate posts.
Helping out: Be game to do what’s needed -- head out to check out a store opening, do an interview, take pictures, or pitch in with anything else that comes up.
And finally, writing: The ideal intern candidate will be someone whose writing and voice fits with our own and who can begin contributing to all our sites.
The ideal candidate is:
A great writer, looking to cultivate his tone, voice, and comedic writing skills.
Interested in men’s style, etiquette and grooming, as well as the world of cars and car culture. We’re not insidery – it’s ok if you don’t understand the nuances of Italian tailoring or know how to fix a carburetor, but you should be eager to learn.
Motivated to help us grow – from traffic analytics to working with partner sites to promoting our content on social media.
A self-starter who wants to take initiative and work hard.
About half of our current team started out as interns – we’re serious about finding and cultivating new talent. And about having fun – there’s lots of that too. This internship begins in January 2013.
